CAUCASUS – ARCHEOLOGY AND ETHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE STARTED IN SHAMKIR
International scientific and theoretical conference “Caucasus - Archeology and Ethnology” started in Shamkir region of Azerbaijan.
The event brings together scientists from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Germany, Russia, Turkey and France.
In the first day, the attendees visited Heydar Aliyev Museum and laid flowers at the bust of the nationwide leader.
President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Mahmud Karimov signed the guest book on behalf of the conferees.
Karimov then inaugurated the conference. Speaking to the event, head of the Shamkir region administration Nazim Veysov spoke of the state care shown to restoration of historic monuments in the region.
Then, the floor was given to scientists.
