Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court meets Head of Turkish Constitutional Court
Baku, April 18 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev has today met the Turkish delegation led by Chairman of the Constitutional Court Serdar Ozguldur.
Rzayev said Azerbaijan and Turkey share the same language, traditions, as well as moral values which are proofs of the two countries` solidarity.
“Relations between law-enforcement and judicial bodies of Azerbaijan and Turkey entered into a new stage. We are also expanding these ties in international organizations”, Ramiz Rzayev stressed. He also stressed the importance of the reciprocal visits in terms of further strengthening the relationship.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court highlighted Ozguldur on judicial-legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.
The Chairman of the Turkish Constitutional Court was informed that Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court is effectively applying Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and other international-democratic norms of European Court of Human Rights.
Ozguldur said the bilateral cooperation assume great significance for both countries. He expressed confidence that relations would further develop.
Following the meeting, the Turkish delegation familiarized themselves with the Supreme Court’s building and the Justice History Museum of Azerbaijan.
