COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS PERFORM IN AGDASH REGION
Baku, August 15 (AZERTAC). Competition of Pianists started in Gabala region of Azerbaijan within International Musical Festival. is in success. The first performer was from China. The second stage of the competition will be held on August 17, and the final on August 19.
A party of Azerbaijan jazz music was held in “Caucasus Resort” Hotel, on August 15.
The same day, a group of participants of the festival arrived in Aghdash region of Azerbaijan.
Here, they gave concert at the Music School after Habil Aliyev, which was constructed under the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Opening the concert, music expert Zahra Aliyeva said: “When I entered this School building, I felt proud”. She said “this festival includes three events: competition, concerts, and performances of world known musicians”.
She expressed gratitude to president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and participants of the festival.
Along with the renowned masters of art, young performers joined the concerts. Works by Gara Garayev, Uzeyir Hajibayov, Said Rusramov and Tofig Guliyev were performed.
A composition by Farhad Badalbeyli dedicated to Shusha was cheered by audience.
Finally, festival participants put flowers at the tomb erected to the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in the central park of Agdash.
Closing of the festival is expected on 22 August.
