CONFERENCE ON US POLICY IN SOUTH CAUCASUS TO BE HELD IN WASHINGTON
Baku, January 17 (AZERTAC). The first workweek of US President Barack Obama`s administration will see the conference dealing with US policy in the South Caucasus, energy and geopolitical problems.
The meeting will discuss Azerbaijan`s position on the new energy projects in the region. Geopolitical and geo-economic situation in the energy-rich countries will come up on the agenda.
Holding the event during the first week of Obama`s administration is not accidental as the conference aims to define once more the US policy in the South Caucasus and throw support behind the energy projects in the region.
The conference will bring together Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and Steven Mann, Senior Advisor for Caspian Basin Energy Diplomacy as well as representatives of think-tanks and universities.
