Delegation of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy visits NATO headquarters in Brussels
Baku, October 22 (AZERTAC). A delegation of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy on October 18-19 visited the headquarters of NATO to take part in NATO's Public Diplomacy Division program.
The delegation comprised of 27 students specializing in diplomacy and foreign relations (MADIA) attended a briefing hosted by the NATO experts for students in areas such as the partnership with NATO, the NATO operation, energy security, defense reform, etc. They also had a meeting with the staff of the Azerbaijan’s mission to NATO.
On the second day of the visit the delegation of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy was invited to the briefings at NATO military residence (SHAPE). The delegation also met with the members of the European Parliament.
During the visit, students of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy were involved in interactive sessions, which are very important for raising the level of knowledge on issues related to NATO activities.
The visit was organized in close cooperation with NATO's Public Diplomacy Division and the Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO.
The NATO Headquarters is the political and administrative centre of the Alliance and the permanent home of the North Atlantic Council, NATO’s senior political decision-making body.
The Headquarters is located at Boulevard Leopold III, 1110 Brussels, Belgium, on the northeast perimeter of the city. It is home to national delegations of member countries and to liaison offices or diplomatic missions of partner countries.
The work of these delegations and missions is supported by NATO’s International Staff and International Military Staff, also based at the Headquarters.
