Egyptian scientist delivers lecture in Baku
Baku, May 1 (AZERTAC). Teacher of Egyptian Ain Shams University, scientist on Azerbaijani Studies, Dr. Ahmad Sami Elaydi has given a lecture on the “Contemporary state and prospects of Egyptian-Azerbaijani cultural relations” at the ANAS Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fuzuli.
He noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani-Egyptian relations, stressing friendship ties between the two nations have deep historical roots.
“The Ain Shams University is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijani educational institutions. Azerbaijan and Egypt exchange students on a yearly basis. About 550 Egyptian students learn the Azerbaijani language and literature,” he added.
Ahmad Sami also spoke of reciprocal cultural days organized on a yearly basis.
