EUROSAI and ARABOSAI to hold IV joint conference in Baku
Baku, April 15 (AZERTAC). Two regional associations of higher state audit bodies EUROSAI and ARABOSAI will hold the IV joint conference on "Modern challenges for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) capacity building” in Baku on April 16-18.
This theme is developed under three sub-themes:
- “Responsibilities of Supreme Public Authorities arising from challenges of UN General Assembly Resolution A/66/209, 22 December 2011”;
- “Role of SAIs in achieving national development goals”;
- “Importance of specifying the boundaries and targets of external and internal public financial control in improving public financial management”.
According to the Conference format, the above-mentioned sub-themes will be discussed within 3 sessions by heads of delegations from EUROSAI and ARABOSAI member SAIs. The Conference will be chaired by leaders of EUROSAI and ARABOSAI, as well as the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts by turns.
It is expected that conference participants will adopt Joint Declaration as an outcome of IV EUROSAI/ARABOSAI Joint Conference as in previous Conferences.
