EXHIBITION FEATURING AZERBAIJAN DUE AT V&A MUSEUM

Baku, 18 February (AZERTAC). Five countries of the world will host Days of Azerbaijani culture this year, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev told press conference on the occasion of upcoming “Baku - the Capital of Islamic Culture 2009” year of events. The Ministry has already elaborated on the Program of events that are expected to give new impetus to regeneration and advancement of culture and travel sector in Azerbaijan.

The Minister outlined that as a part of the “Baku - the Capital of Islamic Culture 2009” year of cultural events, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London will host exhibition dedicated to Azerbaijan. The exhibition will feature artworks related to Islamic culture. The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world`s lrgest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects.
