Folklore bridge between Baku and Ankara: New scientific horizons

Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the ANAS Institute of Folklore and Doctor of Philological Sciences, met with Professor Mehmet Ocal Oğuz, President of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO.
The meeting was also attended by Professor Konuralp Ercilasun of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Associate Professor Aynur Ibrahimova of the Institute of Folklore, and Özge Züleyha Ömeroğlu, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO.
During the meeting, Guliyev provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing research at the ANAS Institute of Folklore. He highlighted the institute's focus on socio-methodological renewal, the dynamics of folklore, digital transformations, and pioneering studies in internet folklore.
Both parties underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in the joint research and international promotion of the shared cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
Hikmat Guliyev presented Professor M. Öcal Oğuz with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the methodological study, preservation, and global advocacy of Turkish folklore.
