French ambassador visits Azerbaijan University of Languages
Baku, November 22 (AZERTAC). French ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier visited Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on Thursday, where he met Rector of the facility, MP and Professor Samad Seyidov.
Seyidov informed the ambassador of the higher educational facility’s activity, including its achievements and international relations.
The rector also spoke of the bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields and especially underlined the dynamically development of the relations in the spheres of science and education.
The MP noted that the French language has being taught at the university from 1948. The French faculty has been operating at the university independently since 1973. Today, AUL has close relations with the University of Strasbourg of France where Azerbaijani students got master`s degree each year.
Mr. Seyidov also highlighted that AUL`s French faculty in its activity attached great importance to cooperation with the French Embassy in the country and French Cultural Centre.
The French ambassador praised the cooperation of AUL with the French Embassy and praised the relations between the two countries, expressing hope they would continue developing.
