GREAT BRITAIN`S OXFAM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION EXPANDS ACTIVITY IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, January 23 (AZERTAC). Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission for Agrarian Policy of Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) Eldar Guliyev today met with agricultural consultant of Great Britain`s Oxfam Humanitarian Organization Yara Adbulhamid and his accompanying delegation, who arrived in Baku to closely familiarize with development of the country`s agrarian area.
Mr. Guliyev told about reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan`s agrarian area adding that about 50 laws have been passed. He noted that several state programs were implemented to develop the agrarian area. Deputy Chairman emphasized that the Commission is to soon submit a new law about beekeeping and cotton-growing.
Mr. Andulhamid noted that his organization intends to continue realization of the project “Development of agriculture in Azerbaijan” and to expand its activity in the country.
The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
