INDEPENDENCE DAY OF AZERBAIJAN ANNOUNCED IN ARLINGTON
The Independence Day of Azerbaijan was announced October 18 in the city of Arlington, state of Virginia.
Borough council`s said in its statement that every year about 40 million Azerbaijan mark Independence Day of Azerbaijan on October 18, remember people`s contribution to freedom and democracy in Caucasus. 400,000 Azerbaijani community is among them. They are very active as voters and citizens of American society.
The statement stressed that Azerbaijan was the first Muslim country to build the first secular democratic parliament and be recognized by the international community. Today, US support territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
Arlington borough council called on residents to celebrate the Independence Day together with American Azerbaijanis.
