Moscow hosts meeting of Regional Departments` Heads of All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress
Baku, December 20 (AZERTAC). Moscow on Dec. 19 hosted a meeting of the Heads of the Regional Departments of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress and representatives of the Azerbaijan embassy to Russia.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Secretary General of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress Nemat Nagdaliyev spoke about the relations of the congress with Russian authorities, Azerbaijanis` integration to the society, as well as significance of the projects implemented in presentation of Azerbaijani cultural heritage.
He noted that the congress functions in 72 regions of Russia. These branches play important role in settlement of the Azerbaijanis` problems, creation relations with the political circles, Mass Media and non-governmental organizations.
Head of the Moscow branch of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress Ilgar Hajiyev stressed that the departments must have close relations with the congress and they must give detailed information on the Azerbaijan`s activity in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The heads of the regional branches spoke about the problems of the Diaspora organizations and Azerbaijanis living in the regions of Russia.
The meeting also saw discussions of the congress’s action plan for 2013.
