“NEW PHILHARMONIC” ORCHESTRA JOINS TOSCANA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Baku, 3 August (AZERTAC). The “New Philharmonic” Azerbaijan Youth Orchestra led by conductor Fuad Ibrahimov has participated in the Toscana Music Festival in Montecatini, Italy. The Azerbaijan Orchestra played Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto (soloist - violinist Anar Ibrahimov), the Symphony No. 5 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Gara Garayev’s “Don Quixote” symphonic engraving. The Azerbaijan Youth Orchestra`s trip was funded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and Art Mentor Foundation Lucerne (Switzerland). The orchestra was awarded a certificate.

The Festival has brought together musicians from various countries, including Germany, Estonia, Spain, Bulgaria and Israel.

The “New Philharmonic” was founded a year ago. The Orchestra has played four concertos since its establishment. To date, the Orchestra gears up for the international festival to be held in Berlin.
