Quantity of biogenic substances in Kura and Araz rivers exceed the norm
Baku, January 7 (AZERTAC). The National Monitoring Department on Environment of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has conducted monitoring on the rivers Kura and Araz in the third decade of December to study the level of pollution of the rivers and their branches.
It was determined that due to the impact of untreated waste water and sewage industry dropped on the territory of Georgia and Armenia to the water, the amount of biogenic substances in the Kura River and its tributaries is much higher than normal. A similar situation was observed in Aghstafachay reservoir, as well as in areas of the Araz River - Horadiz, Shahsavan I, Bahramtapa.
The oxygen regime of water at all points ranges within health standards.
