RAPID PACE OF AZERBAIJAN`s ECONOMIC GROWTH CONTINUED IN 2008, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, January 16 (AZERTAC). “The rapid pace of Azerbaijan`s economic development continued in 2008” said President Ilham Aliyev Friday at a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up socio-economic results of 2008.
According to the President, “the last year was successful for Azerbaijan, though 2008 saw global financial crisis”.
The Head of State underlined all programs were successfully implemented throughout the last year, allowing the country`s economy to see an 11 percent growth.
