Baku, October 23 (AZERTAC). A high-circulation Turkish newspaper Hurriyet ("Liberty") published an article about the Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.
The article by Mehmet Yashin covers the modernization and development of Baku alongside the other regions of Azerbaijan. The author notes that gradually Baku is becoming one of the world’s most beautiful and modern cities. This truth is confirmed by high ranking guests and ordinary foreign citizens visiting Baku.
"The broad avenues with palm trees and beautiful fountains, with ultra-modern glass skyscrapers, huge shopping malls and shops with glass lifts, boutiques - all this indicates the development of Baku," he writes.
"Baku - is, above all, a business city. The city center is full of banks, oil and construction companies, and hotels. But, at the same time, Azerbaijan is rapidly becoming a popular tourist destination," the article says.
The author also draws the readers’ attention to the Flag Square in Baku. "Neftchilers’ Avenue, leading to the Flag Square, is reminiscent of New York with its luxury boutiques and shops. Three giant skyscrapers made of glass and steel in the form of flames bursting into the sky, have become a new architectural symbol of the modern capital of Azerbaijan. Baku Bay stretches along the longest in Europe Seaside Boulevard. All this gives a special beauty to Baku," Hurriyet writes.
The author also dwells on the rich Azerbaijani cuisine and national traditions.
