Azerbaijan showcases its culture at 4th World Cultures Festival in Ankara

Azerbaijan is participating prominently in the 4th World Cultures Festival held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.
Diplomatic missions, embassies, and cultural centers from 72 countries are taking part in the event, organized by the Ebrişem ve Sirus Foundation with the support of Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Azerbaijan is represented at the festival by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center operating under the country’s Embassy in Türkiye. The Azerbaijani stand features sections showcasing the country’s history of statehood and culture, various publications, books published with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, national souvenirs, carpets, kelaghayis, and handmade dolls. Visitors have shown keen interest in the stand, learning about Azerbaijan’s rich culture and sampling national sweets.
Performances by music and dance ensembles from participating countries, along with displays of national cuisine, have attracted considerable interest. The Zangazur Dance Ensemble, operating under the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, performed Azerbaijani folk dances.
The festival also features traditional costumes from various countries. As part of the program, the Cultural Center organized a fashion show titled “Historical Azerbaijani Costumes,” featuring designs by the Baku Fashion House. Turkish students presented a collection of national costumes designed by Laman Gulamova.
The Buta restaurant in Ankara served Azerbaijani national dishes to festival guests.
