Azerbaijan attends international tourism exhibition in Egypt
Baku, April 16 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan participated in the international “Civilization Week” exhibition in Cairo, Egypt.
The Embassy presented the Azerbaijani tourism potential in “Azerbaijan stand” and promoted the country’s sightseeing by the cultural-historical monuments, hotels and tourism facilities through special advertising printed materials. Besides, more than 200 numerous magazines, brochures, printing materials and disks about Azerbaijan and its must-see places were distributed in the Azerbaijan’s pavilion to participants and Egyptian citizens.
The exhibition is full of historic attractions as the ancient capital of the dynasty as well as cutting-edge of modern tourism. Exhibitors from these countries represented a wide cross-section of the travel industry, including airlines and air agents, tour operators and travel agents, hotels and hotel chains, spas, resorts, and companies specializing in luxury, business, adventure, educational and ecological tourism. Aside from this, medical tourism was heavily represented, and for the first time in the event`s history exhibition featured a `Real estate abroad` section, an area of the tourism industry which has been gaining increasing popularity.
Many countries were exhibited from collective national stands. Visitors once again learned about the travel opportunities on offer in Egypt from the country`s tour operators who are returning to the exhibition this year.
Vice president for Community Service and Environmental Development Abdel Wahab Mohammed Ezzat participating in the opening ceremony of “The Civilization Week” visited the Azerbaijan’s pavilion and expressed his gratitude for the participation in expo.
