AZERI OMBUDSWOMAN HOSTS “ROUNDTABLE” MEETING ON WORLD CULTURE AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Baku, January 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova and Alliance for Peace and Development co-hosted a “roundtable” meeting entitled “World culture and human rights”.
Suleymanova spoke of the Alliance`s activity, stressing its role in popularizing world cultural values and raising international community`s awareness about Azerbaijan.
She also said the “roundtable” is being held on the eve of the anniversary of the Bloody January 20 - tragic day in the history of Azerbaijan.
Representative of the Universal Peace Federation Nishiwaki awarded employer of Ombudsman`s Office Zaur Aliyev a diploma of “Goodwill ambassador”.
The event was also attended by representatives of state and non-governmental structures and mass media.
