Baku hosts presentation of North-Caucasus Federal University in Azerbaijan
Baku, April 16 (AZERTAC). Russian Information and Cultural Center and secondary schools 91 and 11 of Sumgayıt hosted presentation of the North-Caucasus Federal University. The meetings were attended by teachers and students of secondary schools, parents, university students.
The participants watched a documentary about the university. Head of the organization of vocational guidance and competitions of the University Tatiana Poshtareva told about the main principles of education at North-Caucasus Federal University.
The North-Caucasus Federal University is established in North-Caucasus Federal District. The University is formed on the basis of three largest universities of Stavropol region: North-Caucasus State Technical University, Stavropol State University, Pyatigorsk State Humanitarian Technological University. The University is formed as a unique core of scientific-educational and innovation sector of the economy of North-Caucasus Federal District, providing the training of qualified personnel for the priority areas of social and economic development of the district; a leading expert platform for intercultural dialogue in a multi-ethnic society of the region and near-abroad countries; the real factor of ethnocultural tension softening, optimization of interethnic and interreligious communication, strengthening the role of the Russian language and the Russian culture, the creation of all-Russian identity among graduates, civic patriotism and legal culture; a key center of geopolitical influence of Russia by means of development of educational, scientific and cultural relations of the regions which are located in the territory of North-Caucasus Federal District with the neighboring states. Priority areas for development of the University, which the main management efforts, financial and human resources are concentrated on industrial development of North-Caucasus Federal District, development of the technological infrastructure, recreational potential, social and humanitarian spheres, economic and financial institutions.
