DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS BELGIUM`S NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR TO AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 19 January (AZERTAC). Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev met Monday with newly appointed ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan Philip Jotard.
The sides focused on political and military situation in the region and Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Safar Abilyev said Armenia still continues to occupy 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s territories, and the OSCE Minsk Group`s activities to settle the dispute gives no results.
The Minister also underlined that Azerbaijan-Belgium relations have succeeded in achieving certain progress.
Philip Jotard, in turn, said work on signing military cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan and Belgium had been completed.
