GUL SAYS BAKU VISIT TO FOCUS ON PROSPECTS FOR ENERGY COOPERATION
Turkish President Abdullah Gul, who arrived today in Azerbaijan to attend the Baku Energy summit, said his address at the event as well as bilateral meetings in the Azerbaijani capital will mostly deal with prospects for energy cooperation.
Talking to journalists on Thursday at the Esenboga airport in Ankara shortly before his departure, President Gul said he will concentrate on his country`s energy policy during his Azerbaijan trip, which, he added, is taking place at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
The Turkish leader also said the Baku summit is extremely important “as energy security is one of today`s most vital issues.”
