St. Petersburg hosts charity festival dedicated to Azerbaijani culture
Baku, February 11 (AZERTAC). The Russian Ethnography Museum in St.Petersburg on February 10 hosted a charity festival for children with special needs under the patronage of the Center for Creative Development "Anima".
The festival was supported by the Ethnographic museum, St. Petersburg Center for Creative Development "Anima", the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Saint Petersburg and the regional branch of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress in St. Petersburg. The festival, which is organized annually, this year is dedicated to Azerbaijani culture.
For the participants were offered various master classes, in particular, they learned to play the Azeri national musical instrument saz, a dance workshop where children can meet with Azerbaijani folk dancing and a nice creative workshop.
Children with developmental disabilities were offered special tour dedicated to the traditional culture of the Azerbaijani people. The exposition featured national costume and cuisine of Azerbaijanis, other items.
Consul Elshad Gulamov addressing the opening of the Festival stressed the significance of such events, adding that Azerbaijan pays great attention to children with special needs and disabilities.
The participants watched charity concert, were presented gifts and tasted Azerbaijani national food.
