Twinning-project presented to develop legislation in migration
Baku, April 5 (AZERTAC). The EU twinning-project, the main recipient of which is the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan, has been presented in the country.
As is reported, the twinning project “Support in bringing the current immigration legislation in accord with the EU standards and increasing the level of skills and professional development of the staff of migration departments” covers 2013-2015s and the partners are the Netherlands, Latvia and Romania. “
During the event Azerbaijani State Migration Service’s deputy chairman Parviz Musayev stressed the positive role of such meetings and exchange of views with the purpose to achieve successful results of the migration service and deepening the relations between the sides.
He also noted that the aim of the project is to ensure the rights of foreigners and stateless persons, introduction of European experience for the effective formation of legislation on migration in Azerbaijan, prevention of illegal migration through systematic analysis, improvement of professional development of service’s staff and holding of campaigns on enlightening and informing.
