7th Meeting of GUAM Working Group on energy held in Kiev
Kiev, March 7 (AZERTAC). Under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan, the 7th meeting of the GUAM working group on energy was held at the Organization’s Secretariat in Kiev. The event was also attended by the Hungarian Regional Environment Centre for Central and Eastern Europe (REC), GUAM Headquarters said.
Participants of the meeting were briefed by REC representatives for the member states to the organization “Promoting Green Economy in GUAM countries: promotion of renewable energy sources” and thanked the Japanese government for their support in this project.
The parties also discussed issues related to the preparation for the seminar for representatives of member states, organized in the framework of cooperation between GUAM - Japan with the Hungarian Regional Environment Centre for Central and Eastern Europe and agreed to hold a workshop on October 17-18 this year in the GUAM Secretariat in Kiev.
The participants discussed the concept of the project ”Promoting Green Economy in GUAM countries: promotion of renewable energy sources”, and accepted it.
The sides also agreed to hold the next meeting of the working group in the second half of 2013.
