Ashgabat to host next negotiations to define Caspian sea`s legal status

Baku, August 30 (AZERTAC). The next meeting of Caspian littoral states` deputy foreign ministers to define the sea`s legal status will be held on September 26-27 in Ashgabat, Turkmen ambassador Toyli Komekov said Wednesday at a press conference.

According to the diplomat, at present, a meeting of representatives of agencies engaged in fishing industry of the littoral states is being prepared. He added the meeting would focus on the progress made on implementation of the decisions adopted at the summit of heads of Caspian states held on November 18, 2010 in Baku.

During the Baku summit, all the Caspian countries supported Turkmenistan`s idea to develop an agreement on conservation and sustainable use of biological resources of the Caspian Sea, Komekov said.
