AZERBAIJAN DELEGATION ATTENDS BUSINESS FORUM IN ROME
An Azerbaijani delegation, including deputy minister of economic development Mikayil Jabbarov, Ambassador to Italy Emil Karimov, President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation Emil Majidov and Executive Director of State Investment Company Anar Akhundov attended a business forum in Rome devoted to economic potential of Southern Caucasian countries.
Government officials and business people from the regional countries were joined in the event by representatives of nearly 30 Italian companies, European Commission and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The forum was co-organized by Italian ministries of foreign affairs and economic development and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade.
In his address during the event, Jabbarov covered Azerbaijan`s economic potential, its investment climate and economic reforms.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Azeri deputy minister of economic development met his Italian counterpart Adolfo Urso and Deputy Foreign minister, co-chairman of the Italian-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation Alfredo Mantica to explore ways of expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
