AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR TO UK ATTENDS MEETING IN SCOTLAND

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov has participated in a meeting devoted to investment opportunities in the Caspian region held in Aberdeen city in Scotland.

The event was organized by UK Trade and Investment Agency, England-Azerbaijan Society and Aberdeen Mayor`s Office.

The meeting brought together representative of UK Trade and Investment Agency Bob Griner, chairman of the England-Azerbaijan Society Lord Fraizer, Aberdeen Mayor and others.

The Azerbaijani Ambassador told of economic projects carried out in his country. He underscored developing non-oil sector was Azerbaijan government`s main priority.

He also pointed out thanks to work done to improve the business environment in Azerbaijan World Bank Doing Business report announced the country the world`s top reformer.

According to Gurbanov UK ranks first for the volume of direct foreign investment in Azerbaijan.

Other speakers at the event spoke of favorable business climate created in Azerbaijan and the country`s dynamic economic development.
