AZERBAIJANI DEFENCE MINISTER MEETS USTRANSCOM COMMANDER GENERAL

Azerbaijani minister of defense Safar Abiyev met Tuesday with Commander of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) General Duncan J. McNabb.

They discussed current state of and prospects for cooperation between the two states.

The minister touched on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace talks, saying they have been intensified lately.

Talking about latest developments in the region, General McNabb stressed the importance of further enhancing US-Azerbaijan relations and increasing efforts towards ensuring security.

The sides also discussed other issues of mutual concern.
