Azerbaijani delegation visits Bosnia and Herzegovina
Baku, February 20 (AZERTAC). An Azerbaijani delegation headed by Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev has visited Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Minister met President of the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.
The discussed prospects for developing economic relations between the two countries.
A joint business forum was held by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Regional Cooperation of Republika Srpska.
The forum brought together officials from both sides, as well as businessmen from the fields of industry, agriculture, food production, construction, banking, oil sector, and tourism.
Prime Minister Alexander Džombić stressed the role of the business forum in boosting cooperation among businessmen. He said there was economic potential and favourable business and investment environment in both countries.
The Minister said Azerbaijan attached great importance to developing cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Republika Srpska.
He called on businessmen of both countries to be more active in developing their cooperation.
He hailed political relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of reciprocal visits by state officialss.
Mustafayev provided an insight into economy of Azerbaijan.
He also briefed the participants on history and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The event also featured the presentations and videos on economic situation as well as business and investment opportunities in both countries.
The visit also saw Mustafayev meet Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija, Chairman of Presidency Bakir Izetbegovich, Vice Chairman of House of Representatives of Parliamentary Assembly Denis Becirovic, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Alexander Džombić and Minister of Economic Affairs and Regional Cooperation Zeljko Cvijanovic.
