AZERBAIJANI MPs MEET VISITING IRANIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION
Members of Azerbaijan-Iran interparliamentary friendship group at Milli Majlis (Parliament) met Friday with Iranian parliamentary delegation visiting Baku to attend the International round-table meeting “Azerbaijan in the 21st Century: Strategy of Success”.
Member of the Friendship Group, MP Eldar Ibrahimov spoke of deepening Azerbaijan-Iran cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other spheres.
He also stressed the role of parliaments in expansion of bilateral relationship.
According to Ibrahimov, reciprocal visits by officials contribute to enhancing fraternal relations between the two countries.
Ibrahimov noted that Milli Majlis Speaker Ogtay Asadov will pay a visit to Iran in the second half of December.
Members of the Iranian parliamentary delegation Gulamhuseyn Masudiya Reyhan and Sepahi Ajurlu said friendly relations between the two countries` Presidents had opened a new stage in development of bilateral cooperation.
It was also stressed relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran was example for other countries.
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nasir Hamidi Zare was present in the meeting.
