AZERBAIJANI OMBUDSWOMAN MEETS WITH DAGESTAN COUNTERPART
Baku, January 9, (AZERTAC). Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova met with Ombudsman of Dagestan Svetlana Alisultanova.
Both ombudspersons discussed the ways of implementing the bilateral agreement and improving the human rights cooperation. They decided to continue travelling across the regions of Azerbaijan and Dagestan and meeting representatives of Diaspora.
Suleymanova said plenty of books allocated by the Education Ministry will be soon sent to the libraries of Dagestan.
The sides agreed to hold discussions on the Azerbaijan national human rights action plan in the town of Guba and events to mark the 60th anniversary of Council of Europe and 50th anniversary of European Court of Human Rights in Sheki.
