AZERBAIJAN`S FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS NATO SECRETARY GENERAL
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Wednesday with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer in the Organization`s Headquarters.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues including implementation of Individual Partnership Action Plans (IPAPs), security in the South Caucasus and the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
NATO Secretary General thanked Azerbaijan for the country`s contribution in ensuring security in the Euro-Atlantic area.
Considerable progress by Azerbaijan in implementing its IPAP was praised during the meeting.
The sides also praised the level of ongoing political dialogue.
