Baku hosting International conference on “Building bridges”
Baku, September 27 (AzerTAC). An international Conference on “Building bridges” has started today in Baku at the Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel.
The conference is initiated by the Institute for European Affairs (INEA) in cooperation with the Association for Civil Society and Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA).
Several round table sessions will guarantee a forum for exchange of leading heads from politics, business and sports all across Europe, stimulating new perspectives of future cooperation.
The two-day conference being attended by more than 40 officials representing 14 countries, will mainly focused on discussions over prospects for cooperation in various fields, including politics, economy, sport, education and others, as well as boosting of cooperation between Europe and Azerbaijan in these fields.
The conference will feature discussions at panels titled "Cooperation towards Europe" and "Economic relations between Azerbaijan and Europe".
Addressing the event, ACSDA chairman MP Elkhan Suleymanov spoke of the democratization process in Azerbaijan in recent years and cooperation with Europe.
Director of the Institute for European Affairs (INEA), Professor Jurgen Gramke also delivered a speech at the conference.
