Baku hosts 7th International Environmental Project Olympiad
Baku, April 5 (AZERTAC). The 7th International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO-Euroasia) dedicated to the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has today kicked off in Baku.
The international Olympiad was organized by the Ministry of Education, IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action), the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (ITV), Cag Ogretim Isletmeleri Company and International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO-Euroasia).
Vice-president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, department chief of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov, SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev and other officials attended the opening of the Olympiad. Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva made a speech at the ceremony.
The 7th environmental Olympiad INEPO-EURASIA involves nearly 500 participants from 45 countries. 78 out of 214 projects of 180 Azerbaijani schools and 52 of 625 projects of the representatives of 45 foreign countries have been selected in this respect.
The Olympiad aims to inform young people on solution of growing environmental problems and environmental protection, as well as the preservation of natural, cultural, historical and social and aesthetic values.
