Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Supreme Court attends international conference in Ukraine
Baku, February 18 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev has left for Ukraine to participate in an international scientific-research conference titled “The Supreme Court of Ukraine and the Democratic Society: Background and Prospects”.
Speaking at the conference, Rzayev highlighted work to ensure the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Ukraine.
The event is organized by the Supreme Court of Ukraine with the assistance of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
As part of the trip, the Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Supreme Court met his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Pylypchuk.
Rzayev noted Azerbaijan attached great importance to building and expanding relations with European countries, including Ukraine.
The Azeri chairman also met acting president of the High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases Stanislav Mishchenko.
