National holiday of Saudi Arabia marked in Baku
Baku, September 25 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Baku has organized an official reception to mark the country`s public holiday.
Opening the event, Ambassador Fahd bin Ali Al-Dosari briefed the participants on the progress his country made.
He said Saudi Arabia attaches significant importance to boosting relationship with fraternal countries including Azerbaijan.
According to him, Saudi Arabia will further strengthen its cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Addressing the event, economic development minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev congratulated the people of Saudi Arabia on behalf of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev.
He recalled the visits of national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1994 and President Ilham Aliyev in 2005 to Saudi Arabia, noting the documents signed there have opened new opportunities for expansion of bilateral relations.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mustafayev highly appreciated the fact that Saudi Arabia supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The reception was attended by officials, MPs, diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan and representatives of public.
