NATO PA`S 54TH SESSION TO BE HELD IN VALENCIA

The 54th fall session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will be held on November 13-19 in Valencia, Spain, First Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis (Parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov said.

According to him, the 54th session will mainly focus on the Russia-Georgia conflict, situation in Kosovo, as well as issues regarding Afghanistan and Iraq.

He pointed out no concrete issue on Azerbaijan is expected to be discussed during the session. Though, he added, the event participants would exchange views on important issues answering official Baku`s interests.

Mr. Asgarov noted the Azerbaijani delegation would join the committee on energy security.

On the sidelines of the event, members of the Azerbaijani delegation will meet President and Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Asgarov underscored.
