NAYORA gets certificate of European Voluntary Service
Baku, March 14 (AZERTAC). The National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Azerbaijan Republic (NAYORA) has acquired an accreditation certificate on the European Voluntary Service (EVS) of the Youth in Action program.
According to the NAYORA, the EVS is a partnership project between two or more organisations allowing young people to do a voluntary service in another country.
The aim is to develop solidarity and promote tolerance, mutual understanding and active citizenship (particularly European citizenship).
A strong focus on training and personal and task-related support helps young people develop skills and competences which will be useful in their future employment or education.
By this certificate the NAYORA gets opportunity to organize youth exchanges between Azerbaijan and the EU countries. It will create opportunities for learning and implementing foreign experience, as well as presenting Azerbaijan`s values in Europe.
The NAYORA was established by 11 youth organizations on 21st of November of 1995 and was registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 31st of January of 1996. NAYORA has 104 member organizations at the moment. NAYORA is a full member of European Youth Forum (Youth Forum Jeunesse) and has a special consultative status with United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2002.
