PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES RUSSIA`S DEFENSE MINISTER
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov on December 27.
The Head of State noted bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Russia are successfully developing in a variety of fields. Azerbaijani leader stressed the military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries, in particular, the defense ministries is expanding. President Aliyev expressed his confidence that Serdyukov`s visit would be important for discussing new opportunities and prospects for military and military-technical cooperation.
Anatoly Serdyukov conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev best regards and New Year greetings on behalf of President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Chairman of the Government Vladimir Putin.
Serdyukov stressed the meetings between the two countries` Presidents give an impetus to bilateral relations. Russian Minister noted during his visit he is going to consider this year`s results and prospects of military and military-technical cooperation between the two nations.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed meetings between Russian and Azerbaijani leaders play a key role in strengthening bilateral relationship. The Head of State asked Minister Serdyukov to pass on his greetings and New Year congratulations to Russian President Dmitry Medvedeve and Chairman of the Government Vladimir Putin.
