President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on December 24 phoned to the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to congratulate his Azeri counterpart on his birthday and wished him success in state activity.
President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the Russian President for warm congratulations and attention.
During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged opinions on the successful development of bilateral relations, expressed confidence for further expansion of these links.
The Presidents had comprehensive exchange of view on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
