ROUNDTABLE MEETING ON UDHR`s 60TH ANNIVERSARY HELD IN BAKU
“Hasrat Yolu” Public Association for Assistance to Captives and Hostages and Azerbaijan Refugee and IDP Youth Organization co-organized a roundtable meeting on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights (UDHR).
Speakers at the event described human rights as an integral part of national development in democratic societies.
They underlined reforms were underway in Azerbaijan to ensure human rights and freedoms.
It was stressed the UDHR was a basic principle of the international agreements and national legislations.
They also noted the third Chapter of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic was devoted to fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms.
