TO ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY OF AZERBAIJAN
Dear fellow countrymen!
I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to you - the whole Orthodox Christian community of Azerbaijan - on the blessed occasion of Easter.
Today, all nations and ethnic and religious communities, which form the multi-national and multi-confessional society of Azerbaijan - recognized throughout the world as an example of tolerance - are enjoying peace, mutual respect and trust.
It is with great satisfaction that I point out the fact that preserving its national and traditional values, Azerbaijan`s Orthodox Christian community, whose members are full citizens of our country, freely celebrates its national and religious holidays and performs religious ceremonies. It is also nobly doing its civic duties to contribute to large-scale constructive activities across Azerbaijan and to strengthening our state independence.
Every year, Easter, which marked resurrection of Prophet Jesus and wrote a new page in the history of human civilization, is widely celebrated in Azerbaijan by the Orthodox Christian community.
Once again I extend my best wishes for your happiness on the holy occasion of Easter, the symbol of newness, peace, mercy and compassion.
May this blessed holiday bring a lot of joy to your families and prosperity to your homes.
