US AZERBAIJANI DIASPORAS MAKE STATEMENT ON PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN AZERBAIJAN
Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations have made a statement on the October presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
The statement says people of Azerbaijan will use their constitutional rights on October 15 to elect the Head of State. On behalf of Azerbaijani community in USA, we, Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) and Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC), are hopeful that presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be democratic and transparent. Conduct of presidential elections in line with international standards will have a positive impact on development of Azerbaijan and US-Azerbaijan strategic relations.
We hope free conduct of elections will be ensured, and the president will continue the existing US-Azerbaijan cooperation in various fields.
