‘WOMEN PLAY SPECIAL ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL CULTURE’
Hijran Huseynova, Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan, met Tuesday with a group of participants of the Council of Europe`s Conference of Ministers responsible for Culture started in Baku.
Talking about women`s contribution to all spheres of the society as a whole, H. Huseynova said they play a special role in development of national culture.
In this regard, she pointed out that national leader Heydar Aliyev has always paid a great attention to provide active participation of women in various fields of the country`s socio-economic life. The Committee Chairwoman said a state program on development of women`s role in society is being implemented in accordance with international practice.
Visitors, including spouses of Turkish minister for culture and tourism, Saudi Arabian minister for culture and Malaysian deputy minister for culture, art and heritage, praised all-round development in Azerbaijan.
