Australian ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Ministry of Education
Baku, March 15 (AZERTAC). Ambassador of Australia to Azerbaijan Ian David Grainge Biggs has visited Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Education.
He met Minister Misir Mardanov who stressed the importance of educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Australia.
Speaking about the State program on the Education of Young Azerbaijanis Abroad in 2007-2015 approved by President Ilham Aliyev, the minister said it aimed to expand the opportunities for talented youth to study in the world`s top countries.
“Today, Azerbaijani youth are getting study in 21 Australian higher educational institutions,” the minister added.
Mardanov said national leader Heydar Aliyev attached great importance to science and education, adding this policy had been successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
The ambassador expressed confidence the relationship between the two countries would further expand.
