“INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SILK ROAD IN 21ST CENTURY” STARTS IN BAKU
A three-day “International conference on Silk Road in the 21st century” started Thursday in Baku as part of the 8th Turkic World Economy, Information and Culture Forum.
The conference brings together representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as several organizations.
Addressed the event were rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University, MP Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Turkish State Minister Gurshad Tuzmen, official of Turkey`s Foreign Trade Ministry Gazi Bilgin, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic and others.
The conference participants also heard reports on “Great Silk Road and Caspian-Europe trade relations: retrospective view” and other subjects.
The reporters stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the Turkic world.
