Second Business Case Competition starts at Qafqaz University
Baku, March 27 (AZERTAC). Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Research at the Qafqaz University has launched the Second Annual Business Case Competition.
According to the Qafqaz University, each year teams composed of bachelor and master students compete in business case competitions and analyze business strategies of international and local companies.
In the First Annual Business Case Competition which was held at Qafqaz University in 2012, five teams composed of students from different departments of Qafqaz University presented the analysis of business strategies of international companies such as Google, Dell, Jet Blue Airlines, Krispy Kream and Wholefoods Market.
This year the teams will develop a marketing strategy for a local company AzMDF.
Out of ten teams who applied for the Second Annual Business Case Competition, eight teams were selected based on their level of English as well as knowledge of business and entrepreneurship. Teams consist of bachelor and master students from Finance, Business Administration, World Economy, Industrial Engineering and Public Administration departments.
Teams which have successfully passed the first round of the competitions were taken to the AzMDF plant and were familiarized with production of different products at this plant. During their tour, teams had a chance to discuss the company`s operations with the managemers of the AzMDF factory. Final round of the competition is scheduled to be held in April.
