ARTWORKS OF AZERBAIJANI PAINTERS ON SHOW IN HAGUE
Regentkamera gallery of Hague hosted an exhibition of Azerbaijani artists. The exhibition was organized by the Dutch Friends of Azerbaijan. It featured paintings by Azerbaijani artists Rasim Huseynov, Vafa Rustamova, Elman Aliyev and Lena Sangin, who currently live in various European countries.
Alexander Burgers, Head of the gallery and member of the Municipal Council of Hague said the people of Netherlands are curious about Azerbaijani culture. He expressed his hope that in future local residents will have more opportunity to get familiar with the samples of Azerbaijani culture. Maisa Agamirzayeva, vice president of “Ana Vatan” Azerbaijan Women Union, introduced works of the Azerbaijani painters to art lovers. Elchin Bashirov, First Secretary of Azerbaijan’s Embassy to the Kingdom of Netherlands said he is optimistic such events will be held in future. The participants of the event listened to the Azerbaijani opera singer Adil Abdullayev. At the end of event, guests got acquainted with the Azerbaijani meals, famous for its rich flavor and delicious taste.
